Northeast Harbor, Maine –- Bill Weir, Lieutenant of the Tremont Fire Department, recently provided the Mount Desert Nursing Association with Basic Life Support training and certification. Christine Mild of the Nursing Association stated, “Who would have known that a certification of CPR could have been so entertaining! Bill is a real treasure, with real world experience he made it fun.”

Bill is also President and CEO of Bar Harbor Savings and Loan which donated the funding and provided the equipment for the certification. The Northeast Harbor Ambulance Service provided additional equipment used during the training. “It was definitely an Island wide effort that turned out to be a productive Saturday morning.” said Mild.
