Now Hiring Bank Compliance Officer & Strategic Planning Lead

Bar Harbor Savings and Loan, a small community bank located in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine is searching for an individual to be the Bank’s Compliance Officer. Joining the Bank’s team of highly dedicated and motivated professionals, the Compliance Officer will ensure that Bar Harbor Savings and Loan is conducting business in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, professional standards, accepted business practices and internal policies, standards and procedures. He/she will monitor compliance activities across the organization, oversee bank compliance training and will work with auditors and examiners during regulatory examinations. He/she will manage the Bank’s vendor management program and act as the primary contact for regulatory compliance research, analysis and interpretation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project administration, will possess strong organizational and communication skills and be familiar with strategic planning, including implementation, monitoring and tracking, and reporting progress to management and the Board of Directors.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the banking industry with an emphasis on compliance and policy development. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
