Student ambassadors for Maine

Congratulations to Conners-Emerson students Gaia and Sophia, who will be traveling to Washington, D.C. to represent the state of Maine for National History Day. The students will be presenting a research project at the University of Maryland, and they were also invited to share their work at the Smithsonian.
To raise money for the trip, last Friday fellow students donated $1 each to come to school dressed as their favorite historical character for the day. Bar Harbor Savings and Loan gave $500 to help defray the cost as well.
