Friends of Acadia held its 17th annual Roadside Cleanup event this past Saturday with the goal of clearing a winter's worth of trash from the roadsides all around MDI. The BHS&L team donned their fluorescent vests and pitched in. Along with other community volunteers, they helped to clear all the way from Kid's Corner to Hulls Cove General Store.

As team member Vicky Vendrell put it, "we cleaned up one big piece of Bar Harbor that morning...AND it was great fun."

What a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day!
