Bar Harbor Savings and Loan, a community bank with headquarters in beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine is searching for an individual to be the Bank’s Accounting Associate. Joining the Bank’s team of highly dedicated and motivated professionals, the Accounting Associate’s responsibilities include reconciliations, Accounts Payables, and other operational and accounting duties.

The ideal candidate will possesses the ability to manage priorities, pay attention to details, and has analytical and critical thinking skills. The ability to problem solve, identify and escalate issues when needed, and demonstrate creativity/flexibility in addressing problems is essential.

The candidate will have working knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting Software; Microsoft EXCEL, Accounts Payable, strong verbal and written communication skills, high ethical standards and behaviors, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, the ability to work with internal and external customers, and have a willingness to accept added duties and responsibilities.

Prior experience working for a financial institution is strongly preferred. Associate's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
