Mary Parker Memorial 5K supports Island Connections

Bar Harbor Savings and Loan was the title sponsor for the seventh annual “Running for Rides”. The Mary Parker Memorial 5K Run/Walk took place on Saturday October 5, 2024. BHSL volunteers came together to help out on the day of the event. David Cohen (President & CEO, Treasurer) and Board Member Kathleen Field helped with registration. Rhonda Sawyer and Ray Chalifour volunteered along the course and with photography as well.
BHSL has a long history with Island Connections—several BHSL current and past employees and Board members have donated their time and effort serving on the IC Board and volunteering with the organization.
“Running for Rides” is held in honor of Mary Parker, a dedicated Island Connections volunteer and employee whose work was cut short by cancer in 2015.
