Bar Harbor Savings and Loan Association Names Sawyer Vice President

Bar Harbor Savings and Loan Association has promoted Rhonda Sawyer of Trenton, Maine to Vice President and Senior Loan Officer. Ms. Sawyer has been with the BHSLA for the past ten years and has been in the banking industry for 39 years. She most recently served as Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer and Mortgage Department Manager.
Ms. Sawyer holds an A.S. Degree in Business Administration from Kaplan University. She received a completion certificate from The Northern New England School of Banking as well as many banking diplomas from American Institute of Banking. Sawyer attends regular continuing education classes to keep up on changes in the industry.
At the appointment, Bill Weir, President and CEO, commented: “Rhonda has worked hard to make the loan department successful. Her management and customer service skills are excellent. Through her initiative and diligence the Loan Department will continue to grow.”
Sawyer currently Serves on the Advisory Board of the Island Housing Trust and served on the Board of Directors at Island Connections, completing her third term in 2023, remaining as a volunteer. She also participates in Friends of Acadia and many other volunteer programs in our area as often as possible. In her spare time she enjoys various outdoor activities and spending time with her family, friends and her dog, making memories.
Rhonda Sawyer has been promoted to Vice President and Senior Loan Officer.
