Bar Harbor Savings and Loan Association Names Assistant Vice President

Bar Harbor Savings and Loan Association has promoted Rhonda Sawyer of Trenton, Maine to
Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer. Ms. Sawyer has been with the BHSLA for the past
eight years and has been in the banking industry for 38 years. She most recently served as
Loan Officer and Mortgage Department Manager.
Ms. Sawyer holds an A.S. Degree in Business Administration from Kaplan University. She
received a completion certificate from The Northern New England School of Banking as well as
many banking diplomas from American Institute of Banking. Sawyer attends regular continuing
education classes to keep up on changes in the industry.
At the appointment, Bill Weir, President and CEO, commented: “Rhonda has worked hard to make
the loan department successful. Her management and customer service skills are excellent.
Through her initiative and diligence the Loan Department will continue to grow.”
Sawyer has served on the Board of Directors at Island Connections for the past 7 years and
has volunteered as a driver for the past 18 years. She also participates in Relay for Life,
Friends of Acadia and many other volunteer programs in our area as often as possible. In her
spare time she enjoys various outdoor activities and spending time with her family, friends
and her dog, making memories.
